WAGE ATTESTATION SURVEY COMING SOON

During the Spring 2022 legislative session, the Illinois General Assembly passed and Governor J.B. Pritzker signed Public Act 102-0944. This legislation, effective January 1, 2023, provided that the State require providers licensed under the ID/DD Community Care Act (Intermediate Care Facilities (ICFs) and Medically Complex for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities (MC/DD) facilities) and under the Community-Integrated Living Arrangements Licensure and Certification Act (Community-Integrated Living Arrangements (CILAs)) to certify that all legislatively or administratively mandated wage increases have been and are being passed on to ICF Aides (aides) and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). DDD is working to update the attestation surveys and providers lists and anticipates sending out the FY24 wage attestation in October 2024. Please keep your eyes out for the wage attestation which is REQUIRED by all providers listed above.

UPCOMING HEALTH RISK SCREENING TOOL (HRST) TRAINING

As is required by Rule, all individuals receiving residential waiver funding are required to have an HRST screen. To assist providers in being compliant with this requirement, IntellectAbility will be providing a training on how to run various reports, in the web-based platform. This includes how to determine who needs a screen, who needs a clinical review, and who has gone more than 365 days without an update. Additionally, IntellectAbility will be discussing the web-based platform of the Self-Administration of Medication Assessment (SAMA) which is free for all Illinois providers. The training will be on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, from 1:00-2:00pm.
