Happy 34th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act!
July 26, 2024 is the 34th Anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which helped to make sure that people with disabilities could live their lives like every other American in an inclusive environment, get the government help that they need, and viewed the exclusion and segregation of people with disabilities as a discrimination.
The Division of Developmental Disabilities is committed to helping people with disabilities to achieve what was promised in the ADA. DDD strives to provide quality services and supports so people can live in the communities of their choosing. The ADA continues to be an important step toward inclusion.
