Changes are circulated for comment to:
- appropriate DHS and HFS Executive Staff;
- any person identified by DHS or HFS Executive Staff to receive draft material;
- person(s) requesting the change; and
- other staff directly affected by the change.
The comment period provides an opportunity to identify any problems with the proposed change and provide alternative approaches.
Restrict comments to the current proposal. If unrelated changes are needed, submit a separate request.
The normal timeframe for commenting is 2 weeks. If the nature of the document requires additional or less time, the timeframe is adjusted. The 2-week timeframe does not apply to Client Notices and Policy Memos, where a shorter timeframe is given.
If no comments are received by the end of the comment period, the approval of the change is assumed.
