Erikson's IECMH Certificate Program

The Division of Mental Health, in collaboration with the Governor's Office of Early Childhood Development and the Erikson Institute, is excited to announce this new opportunity as part of our Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health programming. Last year the Division began the DC: 0-5 Clinical Training Initiative. During that time, we trained 168 individuals from 65 unique entities to use the DC: 0-5, a developmentally age-appropriate diagnostic assessment system. In support of the needs identified during that training and others, the Governor's Office created an opportunity to expand the number of individuals in Illinois with expertise in Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health through the Erikson Institute's Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Certification Program.

Please share the information below with individuals who want to expand their clinical expertise in this area; this opportunity is 100% tuition-free for qualified Illinois providers. The goal is to expand services across Illinois, focusing on areas with inequitable access to individuals with expertise in infants, young children, and their families. Additional information is in the announcement below, which contains two information sessions and the attached documents that describe the Certification further. Please forward any questions to the Erikson Institute's admissions office. Email admission@erikson.edu , or call 312-893-7149.
