PM 15-06-01-i: Pregnant Woman With No Child Case (FHP)

A pregnant woman can qualify for medical assistance in an AK Assist Pregnant Teen (PT) or Moms & Babies case.

• Women 19 years old or older are assigned to the Pregnant Type of Assistance (TOA);
• Expectant mothers 18 years old and younger are assigned to an All Kids Assist TOA with an indicator of 'PT'; and
• Expectant mothers 18 years and younger who are actively receiving SSI or disabled with income equal to or less than 100% FPL are assigned to the AABD TOA with an indicator of 'PT'.

The 'PT' indicator is displayed on the following IES screens:

• Case-Search/Summary; and
• Eligibility Summary.

NOTE: The spouse of a pregnant woman who is not a parent or caretaker relative of a dependent child does not qualify for FHPs, but may qualify for the ACA Adult program until the baby is born.
