    • RAC 10 does not have a PSAP that uses PowerPhone exclusive to our region.
    • Chair Ben Feinzimer and Co-chair Sam Johnson will be working with Members Chris Voss, Jeremy Gaughan, and Jason Seeley to start level 1 responses with their PSAPs.
    • Member Voss, Member Gaughan, and Member Seeley stated it should not be difficult to get this up and running. Will need to prepare 911 and 988 staff on how the transfers will go.
    • Chair Feinzimer is creating questions for 911 dispatch to ask callers.
  • Questions from RAC 10 Members
    • Member Jodi Newmark: There has been an uptick in emergency room visits for parents or caregivers of individuals with developmental delays. These people have been injured because of aggression from these individuals. Local agencies are then contacted to provide respite or other services. With the aggression that is being shown, they are reluctant to put them in a group setting because of safety concerns. There is no obvious place for these types of referrals. This aggression comes from a behavioral place rather than a place of mental illness. At the ER level, are there any resources provided to the families? Chair Johnson stated this would be a good question for Chair Feinzimer at the next meeting since he works in the ER. Member Banks stated that her son has autism and had to be hospitalized. She stated that what helped him more than anything was group therapy.
  • Next Meeting Date
