Sewer Charges

Normal sewer charges are included in the water allowance. Give a special allowance for sewer charges when:

• the standard water allowance does not cover the minimum combined charge for water and sewer and
• the client is paying sewer tax.

Allow the difference between the combined water and sewer charge and the standard water allowance.

Example: Ms. A's monthly water bill of $10.56 includes sewer tax in addition to the normal sewer charge. The standard water allowance is $3.80. Enter Item 80 code 142 SAS with an amount of $6.76.
