PM 08-04-04-z: Trade Readjustment Allowances

 Trade Readajustment Allowances (TRA) received under the Trade Act are considered exempt as income if the person receiving the benefits is in an education or training program.  Trade Readjustments Allowances are not exempt from consideration as income if the person receiving the benefits is not in an education or training program.

NOTE: Receipt of Trade Reajustment Allowances does not meet the criteria of an eligible student of higher education See PM 03-04-03-b.
