HBIS cases are processed similarly to AABD Cases. An applicant's eligibility for one of the Federally funded Medical Programs must be reviewed as part of their eligibility determination.
Individuals may obtain backdated medical coverage for up to three months prior to the month of application unless the individual does not meet all eligibility requirements for one or more backdated months.
