DDD Communication - EVV Go-Live Reminder
August 31, 2023
As a reminder, the Division of Developmental Disabilities' (DDD) Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) program is scheduled to go live tomorrow, Friday, September 1, 2023. The EVV program requires Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to clock-in and clock-out when completing face-to-face Personal Care Services in a Home-Based Support Services participant's home.
It is expected that PSWs not approved for the EVV Live-In Caregiver Exemption will begin using their PSW agency or ACES$'s EVV system as of September 1. If you believe you qualify for the Live-In Caregiver Exemption as outlined in previous communications (IDHS: DDD Communication August 16, 2023 (state.il.us)), you must immediately submit the exemption request to your PSW Agency or ACES$.
DDD does not expect everyone to be perfect in using the new EVV system during the early days after implementation, however, DDD will expect to see increased compliance as the days and weeks go on. Please visit the DDD's EVV webpage for additional information, resources and presentations: IDHS: Illinois' Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) (state.il.us). Additionally, please send questions to DHS.DDDEVV@illinois.gov.
