Attendance, call to order

  • Review and approval of minutes - Chris motioned, Shirley seconded, unanimous approval of minutes.
  • Overview of committee goals, mission & time frames - Raise up children's issues and advise DMH and IMHPAC committee.
  • New Business
    • Discussed altering meeting agenda to have a specific section for Outside Meeting related to Children's MH-updates. Since this section is more of a report out vs new business might be clearer. Committee agreed with change.
    • Discussed moving to an every other month meeting schedule. Raised having on even months opposite the larger IMHPAC Council meeting which would allow adequate time for any notification/requests from C&A committee. We will confirm new time next meeting and new schedule will start in October.
    • Updates from outside meetings were given.
  • Old Business/Updates
    • The committee discussed that it was helpful to have seen the budget in the larger IMHPAC committee. However, concerns that less than 10% is spent on CMH and most in First Episode Care. Committee would like to explore where DMH can fit in CMH and perhaps since prevention services aren't covered in other parts of the system, this may be an area for DMH funds. Will continue discussion in next meeting.

  • The committee meets virtually on the third Friday of each month at 12:30-1:30 p.m. All are welcome. Next meeting 8/18/23.
