Overdose Response Funding Mid-Year FY23

DATA Overview

For the Period October - December 2022:

  • 1,049 GPRA intake interviews were completed by program staff in 10 service settings.
  • 708 6-month follow-up interviews were completed by Lighthouse Institute staff.

6-month follow-ups showed significant:

  • reductions in daily heroin/opioid use, crack/cocaine/methamphetamine use, anxiety, depression, fair/poor health, and justice system involvement.
  • increases in substance use treatment, medication assisted treatment, full- or part-time employment, and satisfaction with personal relationships.

In Quarter 2 (October 1 2022- December 31 2022) clients continued to show increases in National Outcome Measures (NOMS)

Heroin or other Opioid use on 15 or more days = 54% Intake, 18% Six month follow up. Crack, Cocaine or Meth Use on 15 or more days = 21% Intake, 8% Six month follow up Depression Symptoms on 15 or more days = 27% Intake, 23% six month follow up Anxiety Symptoms on 15 or more days = 31% Intake, 26% Six month follow up Rated Health as Poor or Fair = 54% Intake, 42% six month follow up Criminal Justice Involvement = 24% Intake, 21% six month follow up as % reporting in the past 30 days

In Quarter 2 (October 1 2022- December 31 2022) clients continued to show decreases in primary substance use/ problem area.

Attended Substance Use Treatment on 15 or more days = 25% Intake, 39% Six month follow up. Received Medication for Opioid Use Disorder on 15 or more days = 17% Intake, 35% Six month follow up Employed Part Time or Full Time = 17% Intake, 29% six month follow up Satisfied or Very Satisfied with Relationships = 57% Intake, 78% Six month follow up
