Dear CILA Providers,
I am writing as a follow up to Interim Director Myerscough-Mueller's February 20 message. We regret the confusion that has resulted from the communication and implementation of the Guidehouse Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA) rate calculator.
We acknowledge and share your deep concern about ensuring adequate direct support professional (DSP) hours.
As a result, IDHS/DDD will temporarily pause the changes in DSP hours for January, February and March 2023. For these three months, IDHS/DDD will make adjustment payments at DSP hours levels equivalent to December 2022.
We hope this affords providers with the certainty and stability that is needed in the next chapter of DDD community-based funding. As you know we are continuing to implement the Guidehouse rate calculator in partnership with you, as part of a comprehensive, multi-year effort to strengthen the intellectual and developmental disabilities community system in Illinois.
We will provide more specifics on the timing of the adjustment payments. In addition, we will be in communication regarding the Guidehouse CILA rate calculator as we work to ensure the most seamless implementation possible.
