If a person was found guilty of a criminal violation of the Illinois Public Aid Code or any similar Federal or State law, their application for cash assistance must be reviewed by an Administrative Review Board. The Review Board determines, based on
each individual case circumstance, whether to approve or deny the application. Do not apply this policy to medical assistance or SNAP.
A 2nd criminal violation of the Illinois Public Aid Code or of any similar Federal or State law, results in the person being permanently ineligible for cash assistance.
