Fatina Lopez-Hoskins has joined the SUPR team as an Administrative Assistant in the Bureau of Licensure, Compliance and Monitoring.

FY23 ACP Survey:
Per IDHS/SUPR's FY23 Contract Policy Manual and FY23 Attachment C, all substance use disorder treatment and recovery homes who receive Substance Abuse Block Grant funded (SABG) (Global) are required to complete the Annual Certification Plan (ACP) survey. If your organization only administers the State Opioid Response (SOR) grant or another SAMHSA federal discretionary funded project, you are not required to complete the survey. Data from the survey is used to comply with reporting requirements associated with the SABG. To access the survey, visit IDHS/SUPR FY 23 Annual Certification Plan Survey. The survey should take no longer than 20 minutes to complete.

IDHS/SUPR ICOCE Project:
The Illinois Co-occurring Center for Excellence (ICOCE) IDHS/SUPR Project seeks to advance the integration of substance use and mental health treatment for these co-occurring events in an individual's life. Our 4 Core Competencies of Person Centered, Trauma Awareness, Harm Reduction & Motivational Interviewing meet any person where they are at any given moment. Coupled with our 3 Essential Abilities of self-reflection, empathy, & welcoming feedback, these 7 attributes provide the ability for us to engage with and support anyone.
ICOCE is providing a single day overview of these core competencies. For those of you who have previously attended these presentations, we hope you'll enjoy and benefit from a 'refresher'. For those of you who are new to the integration of these attributes and how they impact the work we do, we welcome you to find value in their orientation and support their guidance and application. NEW Funding Opportunity:
The National Council for Mental Wellbeing, with support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), invites nonprofit organizations to apply for grant funding to support one-year pilot projects integrating harm reduction strategies and public safety initiatives.
Through a competitive Request for Funding Applications (RFA) process, up to eight sites will be selected to implement evidence-based or promising strategies through collaborative partnerships with public safety to reduce risk of overdose and other drug-related harms for people who use drugs (PWUD) and people with substance use disorders (PWSUD) who are or may become justice-involved.
Application information and instructions can be found at Pilot Projects to Advance Harm Reduction and Public Safety Partnerships to Prevent Overdose. Applications must be submitted online at National Council Awards Platform by Friday, December 23, 2022, at 11:59pm EST.

Recovery Residences Registry
The IDHS/SUPR Recovery Residence Registry has been moved to the Illinois Helpline for Opioids and Other Substances to simplify public inquiries for Recovery Residence. Information in the registry helps IDHS/SUPR better understand recovery residences' capacity and support for Medication Assisted Recovery. If you partner with a residence that is not listed, please invite them to register and/or contact Kimberly.Sriner@illinois.gov to list the organization. Search the Recovery Residences Registry at any time.
