Joliet LAC Meeting Minutes, October 17, 2022

*For the purposes of these meetings the terms LAC, board, committee, and council, refers specifically to the members of the OFVP Joliet Local Advisory Council members as a body and are used interchangeably.

1. Call to order
2. Roll call:
   1. In Attendance - Elizabeth Protich (EP), Felix Ortiz (FO), Amy Sanchez (AS), Christine Bright (CB), Michelle Stiff (MS), Donnie Chestnut (DC)
   2. Not in Attendance - Tycee Bell (TB), Nicole Lurry (NL)
3. Public Comment: No public comment received, no members of the public on the zoom meeting.
4. Sept. 16, 2022 Meetings Minute Approved - MI- Motion, AS - second after some additional questions regarding holding off on assigning a lead on mapping; all agreed to hold off, All in favor, So ordered
5. Sept. 29, 2022 IDHS OFVP meeting overview for members that were not in attendance
6. Currently eight council members, IDHS website shows David Jackson was added. CB to reach out for contact details.
7. Review of mandated training due by 12/31/2022 - Email from Awisi Bustos 10/14/22
   1. Ethics Training Program for State Employees and Appointees 2022
   2. Harassment and Discrimination Prevention Training 2022
   3. Security Awareness 2022
   4. HIPAA and Privacy Training 2022 (Only Quality Care Board & Mortality Review Board members are required to attend this training, but all appointees are encouraged to attend)
   5. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Training 2022
8. Review of latest RPSA NOFO released due 11/2 and 11/9 - Share and distribute ASAP (Tool Kit attached to email)
   • MI - suggested possibly starting a webpage for the LAC
   • Specific to the Council Coordinator NOFO due 11/9/2022 - Council voted unanimously to pin it and discuss options or suggestions for an org or coordinator at the next meeting. All agreed to meet on Monday Oct. 24, 2022 6pm.
9. Reviewed GATA Pre-Qualification resource - slide show for applicants.
   • GATA Prequalification Assistance Tool
10. LAC reviewed mapping spreadsheet sent 9/29/22 (revised copy moving Joliet resources to a separate tab attached to email).
    • Agreed to complete the spreadsheet to identify resources and assign OFVP Impact Area to each, compile and discuss at next meeting.
    • IDHS: Vision Statement and Community Asset Mapping Worksheet
