Decatur LAC Meeting Minutes

Tuesday, July 19,2022

4:32 pm: Meeting called to order by LAC-Decatur Liaison James Keith

1. Introductions:
   1. Council members: Mayor Julie Moore-Wolf, Shemuel Sanders, Melverta Wilkens, Tony Holly, Kyle Risby, Jerry Culp, Clay Gerhard, Karl Coleman via zoom; Awisi Bustos (RPSA representative) via zoom
   2. Public observers: Devon Joyner, Alida Graham, Vivian Goodman
2. Public Comments: None
3. Update on the Council - James: RSVP established the program areas we need to prioritize as a Council.
4. Discussion: Robust conversation about which program areas to prioritize by available funding percentage. All participated and provided funding priority recommendations. Awisi provided grant updates (which grant already released NOFO) and process moving forward. Each member's percentage recommendation was input into a spreadsheet. Produced average percentage recommendation as a Council. Total percentage recommendations exceeded 100% (total was 101%). Recommendation by Council was to reduce Program Area 1. (Street Intervention, Case Management and Victim Services) by 1%. Final result was Program Area 1 (17%); PA2 (29%); PA3 (29%); PA4 (25%). Motion made by Julie Moore-Wolf to accept the recommendation. Jerry Culp seconded. Unanimously approved by open vote.
