Illinois Department of Human Services, Bureau of Family Nutrition has recently posted an updated Illinois WIC Program Authorized Food List. The Authorized Food List effective February 2022 will remain in effect at least through the calendar year 2022. Vendors are encouraged to maintain a copy of the current Authorized Food list at all WIC enabled cash registers. The changes to the Authorized Food list are outlined on the attached document for your review. Please also remember that you can review the Authorized Product List which is a full list of all UPCs that are WIC Authorized on our website at any time too.

The Minimum Stocking Requirement has some changes that will take effect with the new contract period of Federal Fiscal Year 2023 (effective October 1, 2022). The updated Minimum Stocking Requirement form has been published on the WIC Vendor Website and information about the changes is being shared as part of the annual training classes that all vendors must complete by June 30, 2022. The changes to Minimum Stocking Requirements which will begin to be enforced October 1, 2022 are listed on the attached document.
