PM 06-16-03-g: Non-Relative Exempt From Licensing

This includes care provided by a non-relative in the child's home. No more than 3 children may be cared for at any one time, including the provider's own children, unless all the children are from the same household.

Examples of child care arrangements that are not eligible for payment include child care provided:

• by a person who is under age 18;
• by a person living in the child's home who is a parent of the child's sibling or who has a child in common with the applicant; and
• in a home in which more than 3 unrelated children who are not from the same household are receiving care at the same time.
