The Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) has created policy for the Illinois Early Intervention Program to ensure compliance with 325 ILCS 20/Illinois Early Intervention Services System Act, regarding Early Intervention Extended Services requirements. These policies and procedures are for the use of Child and Family Connections (CFC) offices and will be posted for 30 days beginning Thursday, March 9, 2022.

IDHS is soliciting public comments regarding these policies and procedures which have been proposed for approval as required by Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) that addresses services for children birth to 3 years of age with developmental disabilities or delays and their families.  You may view the revised policies by clicking on the links below.

Public comments on these policy and procedures will be accepted until the close of business on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 and may be submitted by email at DHS.EIQuestions@illinois.gov, by fax at 217/782-4890, or in writing to:
