PM 06-14-01: QI-1 Eligibility

WAG 06-14-01

Eligibility requirements are the same as for QMB (see PM 06-12-01) except:

• the income standard is higher,
• QI-1 eligibility may be retroactive to 3 months before the month of application, and
• the person must not be eligible for Medicaid.

NOTE: A person enrolled in spenddown is not considered eligible for Medicaid and may be eligible for QI-1 benefits.
