Persons who qualify for AABD MANG can use the costs of specific services received through the DHS - Office of Developmental Disabilities (ODD) and DHS - Office of Mental Health (OMH) to meet spenddown. These services include In-home/Remedial Care,
Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA), Community Habilitation, and Community Mental Health services. To simplify policy, these services are called DHS Community-Based Services.
DHS - ODD/OMH, or any agency providing services under contract with DHS, is responsible for notifying the Family Community Resource Center of any spenddown case receiving DHS Community-Based Services. Local offices are not notified of regular MANG cases receiving these
services.
