Dear Stakeholders:
The Division is thrilled to announce the approval, by the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), of the Waiver Amendment for the Adults with Developmental Disabilities Waiver, with a January 1, 2022, effective date.
With the implementation of the Waiver Amendment, the State is implementing several recommendations from the Guidehouse Rate Study including, but not limited to, updating service definitions and rate methodologies for Residential Habilitation (24-Hour CILA, Enhanced Residential/At-Home Day, Intermittent CILA, and Host Family CILA), Community Day Services, Supported Employment - Individual Employment Supports, Supported Employment - Group Employment Supports; increasing the wages for DSPs in residential and day program settings by $1.50/hr; and increasing the day program annual hours limit to 1,200.
The Division has released a number of Information Bulletins related to the implementation of these changes. Please be on the lookout for the final Information Bulletins for those that are still in draft form in the coming days.
