To receive All Kids Share or Premium, a child must meet all eligibility requirements for Medicaid except for income. There are also additional eligibility requirements to receive Share and Premium.
A child in met spenddown status is considered eligible for Medicaid and is therefore ineligible for All Kids Share or Premium. A child in unmet spenddown status is not considered eligible for Medicaid and is therefore, potentially eligible for Share or Premium.
At application and at REDE, a child who is eligible for All Kids Assist cannot choose to receive All Kids Share or Premium. However, after approval for All Kids Share or Premium, if a decrease in income is verified during the 12-month eligibility period, the child can move to a lessor cost program.
