Meeting Minutes

  1. Members present: Stacey Aschemann, Krescene Beck, Mike Bibo, Kathy Carmody, Larry Eaton, Katherine Hamann, Meg Lewis, Andrea Medley, Scott Mendel, Beth Owens, Allison Stark, Pamela Winsel; Members Absent: Donta Jones, Vickie Kean, Amie Lulinski
  2. The Board reviewed the most recent changes to draft Rule 117 for Home Based Services. Changes to the draft were based on comments received from stakeholders when DDD posted the draft Rule on the DHS website.
  3. Revisions include the revised definitions of Intellectual Disability and Developmental Disability that were taken from the AAIDD and the DSC V definitions. The Board also reviewed draft language on Termination/Appeals. Individuals who are in Home and community Based (HCBS) Waivers must be offered the right to appeal a termination from a HCBS waiver service; language needs to be redrafted to indicate this. The Division will finalize the changes and send to DHS Rules Bureau.
