33rd Annual Hispanic State Employees Training Conference/Job Resource Fair
The Illinois Association of Hispanic State Employees (IAHSE) is holding their 33rd Annual Hispanic State Employees Training Conference and Job Fair on Friday, October 8, 2021, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The event will be held at the Double Tree Hotel located at 1909 Spring Rd in Oakbrook.
This year's theme, "Changes, Challenges, Opportunities: Re-Evaluating Equity in State Government" denotes the Association's continued commitment in supporting Hispanic State Employees and Latino Communities. IAHSE has maintained its' partnership with Central Management Services to continue overseeing the implementation of the Hispanic Employment Plan, to increase Hispanic employment and seek promotion of qualified Hispanics to decision-making positions. Our Association is dedicated to working with each state agency, to help identify and increase the number of Hispanic State Employees.
The Training Conference affords state agencies an excellent opportunity to exhibit, promote agency services, and recruit Hispanics. We expect nearly 250 attendees this year from colleges and universities, statewide government employees, and community-based organizations. Our Conference is a significant component of IAHSE's ongoing effort, to support Hispanic/Bilingual State Employees and give them an opportunity to attend professional development workshops to enhance their skills and promote awareness of services.
Please wear face coverings whether you are vaccinated or unvaccinated at this event and adhere to all requirements requested by IAHSE at this conference.
Please note that this is an optional event. Employees that choose to attend the conference must obtain approval from supervisors and will not be reimbursed for travel or any accommodations.
