This policy memo provides information and guidance regarding Child Care Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) issuances for the months of April 2021 through June 2021.
- The Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) will begin issuing Child Care P-EBT benefits for the months of April 2021 through June 2021 beginning 09/14/2021.
- Child Care Pandemic EBT (P-EBT), published on 07/08/2021, provides further clarification on Child Care P-EBT, including eligibility for the program and issuance dates for October 2020 through March 2021.
- The Child Care P-EBT benefit amount for each eligible child for April 2021 through June 2021 is $88.66 for each eligible month.
- Benefits will continue to be issued to the household's existing Illinois Link card.
- No action is required by Family Community Resource Center (FCRC) staff to create these issuances. Individuals who call the local FCRC regarding Child Care P-EBT may be directed to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) link on the IDHS website.
- Client notice CN 21.07 Notice of Child Care Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) Benefits was previously sent to households with eligible children.
- This memo also adds clarification that food purchased with P-EBT benefits cannot be replaced if destroyed in a disaster, such as a fire, flood, tornado or other devastating events.
Child Care P-EBT Benefits for April 2021 through June 2021
The Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) will begin issuing Child Care Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) benefits for the months of April 2021 through June 2021 beginning 09/14/2021.
