Supportive Living Facilities (SLFs)

  • A Supportive Living Facility (SLF) PM 20-08-02 must be certified by the Department of Healthcare and Family Services.
  • To qualify for SNAP benefits, a resident must be residing in a SLF covered under the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) waiver that protects the status quo of residents who were already receiving SNAP at the time of the waiver approval. The waiver allows these residents to continue to be eligible for SNAP and not be considered as a resident of an institution.new manual textUnder the H.R. 6119, Further Extending Government Funding Act, Section 158 of Division A - Further Continuing Appropriation Act, 2022, extends the existing FNS waiver through February 18, 2022.
