PM 06-32-00 Restaurant Meals Program (SNAP)

WAG 06-32-00

Overview

The Restaurant Meals Program (RMP) allows eligible SNAP households to use their Illinois Link card at approved restaurants to purchase a prepared meal, not including the cost of tip or delivery. Eligible customers include adults age 60 and over and their spouses, disabled individuals and their spouses, and/or individuals experiencing homelessness.

The RMP has been operating since 2022 as a pilot with participating restaurants in Cook County within certain zip codes (60617, 60619, 60620, and 60628) and Franklin County, and has now expanded since implementation. Cook County and Franklin County were chosen for the pilot program due to their high population of eligible customers.

NOTE: State Food customers may be eligible for RMP. State food will follow the same policy as SNAP regarding RMP.
