Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) SNAP Benefits

Summer 2022 School P-EBT benefits for children enrolled in public school are being issued. New P-EBT cards will be mailed over the next 6 weeks. Please allow time for delivery.

What is Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) Benefits?

  • P-EBT is a temporary food benefit program operating during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • P-EBT provides benefits to all eligible children without needing to apply

Who is eligible for P-EBT benefits for the 2021/2022 school year?

There are 3 different types of P-EBT benefits. See the FAQ for each specific type to see who qualifies.

  • Child Care P-EBT: Benefits are for months during the school year for children that qualify and receive SNAP. A child who receives Child Care P-EBT benefits cannot receive School P-EBT benefits. See Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) on Child Care P-EBT for more information.
  • School P-EBT: Benefits are for months during the school year for students that qualify. A child who receives School P-EBT benefits cannot receive Child Care P-EBT benefits. These benefits have not been issued.
  • Summer P-EBT: Benefits are for the Summer 2022 months. A child can qualify for both Summer P-EBT and either School or Child Care P-EBT. See Frequently Asked Questions on Summer 2022 P-EBT for more information.

When will P-EBT benefits for the 2021/2022 school year be issued?

  • Child Care P-EBT benefits were issued in June and July 2022. Some cases are still being processed.
  • School P-EBT benefits:

    • Summer Child Care benefits were issued in August 2022.
