Thank you to the nearly 1,200 IDHS staff who have already signed up to get vaccine information via text! As we continue to move forward in our vaccination timeline, we want to remind you to get up to date information about COVID-19 vaccination by texting "VACCINE" or "VACUNA" (Spanish) to 552020* (Message and Data Rates May Apply. See Terms & Conditions of Use and Privacy Policy).
It is vital to the health, safety, and well-being of our staff, residents, patients, and clients that all who are eligible take the opportunity to vaccinate. I am thrilled to share that we have already vaccinated more than 2,700 staff, patients, and residents within our 24/7 State Operated Facilities. If you are excited and plan to vaccinate when it is your turn, we encourage you to take the DHS COVID-19 Vaccination Pledge. Submit your photo or video by texting "SELFIE" (English) or "SPASELFIE" (Spanish) to 552020. Then upload your photo. You will be prompted to tell us why vaccination is important to you. You can also email these selfies to DHS.COVID19@Illinois.gov.
Additionally, we want to reiterate the importance-we must continue to be safe, wear a mask, and maintain social distancing and guidelines set forth by IDPH.
