Welcome New SUPR Staff
Dr. Nicole Gastala will join SUPR on January 19, 2021 as our new Medical Director. Dr. Gastala is board certified in Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine.
Dr. Gastala is looking forward to working with SUPR and our stakeholders on current trends in medication intervention with a specific concentration in utilization management, which includes new psycho-social therapies, disease management, outcomes monitoring and research practice. She will also lead SUPR with clinical team development to further establish cutting edge delivery of addiction treatment services.
We are looking forward to having Dr. Gastala join the SUPR team!
Opioid Response Network Collaboration
Join the Opioid Response Network (ORN) Virtual Community Collaboration (VCC) to discuss building capacity in four counties in Eastern Illinois (Vermillion, Edgar, Douglas and Coles) to address the opioid epidemic using evidence-based practice.

Youth and Family TREE FY21 Funding Opportunity
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) is accepting applications for FY21 Enhancement and Expansion of Treatment and Recovery Services for Adolescents, Transitional Aged Youth, and their Families grant program (Youth and Family TREE).
Purpose: To enhance and expand comprehensive treatment, early intervention, and recovery support services for adolescents (ages 12-18) and transitional aged youth (ages 16-25) with substance use disorders and/or co-occurring substance use and mental disorders (COD), and their families/primary caregivers.
Due: Monday, February 8, 2021
Eligibility: Domestic Public and Private Nonprofit Entities
Anticipated Total Available Funding: $9,524,682
Anticipated Number of Awards: 17 (At least three awards will be made to tribes/tribal organizations pending sufficient application volume from these groups)
Anticipated Award Amount: Up to $545,000 per year, up to 5 years

SAMHSA Behavioral Health Workforce Report
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) has released the "Behavioral Health Workforce Report" which documents effective mental and substance use disorder treatment models and pertinent staffing needs as part of the agency's goal to increase access to evidence-based mental and substance use disorder care.\

Recovery Residences Registry
The IDHS/SUPR Recovery Residence Registry has been moved to the Illinois Helpline for Opioids and Other Substances at https://helplineil.org/ to streamline searches, rather than looking in a separate place for recovery residence information. Information in the registry helps IDHS/SUPR better understand recovery residences' capacity and support for Medication Assisted Recovery. If you partner with a residence that is not listed, please invite them to register and/or contact Kimberly.Sriner@illinois.gov to list the organization.
