How Can I Protect My Family from Coronavirus?

Here are Ways You can Protect Yourself and Your Family:

Social Distance

  • Stay at least 6 feet apart at all times.
  • Avoid having too many people in small spaces. Limit social activity and unnecessary exposure.
  • Before you are in contact with another person, ask if they are sick or have COVID-19 symptoms.
  • Don't invite people to your home, don't go to other people's homes. Don't go to events.
  • If you must see people, limit the size of your gathering to no more than 10 people.
  • Always wear a mask outside your home.

Wear face mask

  1. Wash your hands with soap and water or use sanitizer before putting on your mask.
  2. Put it over your nose and mouth and secure it under your chin.
  3. Do not touch the front part of the mask. Handle by ear loops only.

Masks should not gap at the chin, side or nose area. Bandanas and T-shirts over the mouth do not make effective masks. Do not share masks.

Keep clean

  • COVID-19 may be spread by airborne transmission in small droplets that can linger in the air for minutes or hours.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Avoid touching your mouth, eyes and nose.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces, and spray disinfectant to limit exposure in your home.
  • Sinks can be infection sources, do not place toothbrushes on surfaces.
  • If someone in your home may have been exposed, even if they do not have symptoms, disinfect everything they touch immediately and keep them quarantined away from others.
