HFS CARES PORTAL
We wanted to alert waiver providers that when they register with the state-based CARES portal for the CARE Fund Pandemic Related Stability Payments Program they will be asked to register in a category. Agency based waiver providers (residential and CDS) should register as LTC (option 1), alongside ICF/DDs. You can register here: https://caresapp.hfs.illinois.gov/. Registration closes October 31, 2020. Don't delay!
REGIONS 9 AND 3 MOVING INTO MITIGATION
(JOINING 1, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10 AND 11)
IDPH announced that Regions 9 and 3 entering into mitigations October 31, 2020 and November 1, 2020 respectively. Again, to remind our providers, CDS providers in Regions 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 are not required to make changes to their operations in response to the mitigations announced. However, community-based guidance is different than guidance for our LTC facilities, which specifically, and exclusively, impacts ICF/DDs. ICF/DD residents in these regions will not be allowed to attend CDS programs during mitigation. CDS providers are able to send staff to an ICF/DD to provide CDS.
