The IDHS/DMH Bureau of Wellness & Recovery Services is pleased to announce that registration is now open for Virtual Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) Fundamentals Training - Parts One & Two.
Options for this training
There are two options for completing Part 1 & two options for completing Part 2. CEU'S will be provided through the Illinois Certification Board (2.75 CEUs for each Part = 5.5 total). Scroll down to click on the registration day of your preference. You will need to register for each Part separately.
Attendance will be limited to those who do not yet have their CRSS credential. This will allow the capacity to be limited and will help provide sufficient opportunities for new trainees to participate in the interactive learning exercises.
We encourage you to watch the CRSS Orientation video before the training to become more familiar with the credential and the credentialing process. These topics are NOT covered in the training. The Orientation video will answer many of your questions regarding the "nuts and bolts" of how to obtain the CRSS. It also explains the difference between the CRSS and other similar credentials, such as the CPRS and CVRS. The video can be found at CRSS Orientation Video (Minimum Requirements & Application Process).
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) regarding WebEx are covered in the attached handout. Question 1 shows you how to download all the handouts for the training.
