Good Afternoon,
Wishing everyone a safe, and happy, Labor Day! Thank you to everyone who is working on this holiday as well!
CDS VISIT
I want to thank Futures Unlimited and Trinity Services for hosting me on September 1. I appreciated seeing all the changes and adaptions made to the environments to keep individuals and staff safe while attending CDS, as well as hearing about reopening challenges. I also enjoyed seeing all the unique and fun masks! Thank you for letting me drop in!
CDS SURVEY AND SUPPORT
The Division will be sending out a CDS Survey by September 15 (or sooner!) for CDS providers to complete. We hope to have results returned by early October. We are trying to understand the impact of COVID-19 on the CDS service system. We are specifically interested in understanding how attendance numbers have changed between February 2020 and September 2020 across the state. We continue to have discussions on ways we can potentially support CDS providers ongoing to maintain the service system. The data we will be collecting through this survey is very important to aid in this discussion. Please complete!
RATE SHEETS AND BUDGET PROJECTIONS
The DDD is mailing out updated rate summaries to each CILA Agency. The rates have been updated for the July 1, 2020 $1.00 wage reimbursement increase and the rates also include the 5% COVID-19 premium, which will end December 31, 2020. Many agencies may be projecting revenue for the next year from these rate summaries. The DDD wants to remind CILA providers that January 1, 2021 when the $0.50 wage reimbursement is applied to CILA Rates, the 5% COVID-19 premium will be coming off each person's CILA Rate. The net result will be about a 2.5% decrease in the rates shown in the current mailing of CILA Rate Summaries. For more information contact: George.Bengel@illinois.gov
HEALTH RISK SCREENING TOOL (HRST) UPDATE
The Division is pleased to announce that we have 99.99% of all our residential providers signed-up to use the electronic HRST! Thank-you to all providers who have started entering individual's online screens. HRS, Inc. recommends that the HRST is administered 45 days prior to an individual's Personal Plan so that it can be used in the development of the individual's Plan. Please ensure that individual's annual HRST is completed within 45 days of their Personal Plan. As a reminder, any health status changes must be reflected in the HRST online. If you need support entering individuals, please contact ilsupport@hrstonline.com
CDS AND HBS SERVICE AGREEMENTS
As the CDS providers are opening back up, the Division wants to remind providers, Self-Directed Advocates (SDA) and individuals, that you must update your Service Agreements to include CDS if you're planning to return. Providers are not allowed to bill for services they're not authorized to provide via a Service Agreement. With the increase in rates beginning July 1, 2020, the Service Authorization amounts will be different than before the COVID-19 crisis. Please make sure you're using the correct rates when completing updated Service Agreements. Current rates beginning July 1, 2020 can be found on the DDD Website at: https://www.dhs.state.il.us/page.aspx?item=125080
REMITTANCE REPORTS ISSUE (AGAIN)
The Division was informed again this morning by the DHS Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT) that MOBIUS Remittance Reports usually available every Friday morning did not generate last night as expected. Providers who did billing this week will not be able to find these reports until they are generated in MOBIUS. DoIT is working on fixing the problem. Providers also will not be able to download/upload ROCS back to their system if they billed last week until this issue is resolved. We again apologize for the issue.
Thank you for all you do!
Warmly,
Allison
