The health, safety, and care of people throughout our state is our top priority. The Illinois Department of Human Services' (IDHS) mission includes supporting people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities who want to live in community settings. On this web page, you will find information about COVID-19 cases in Community Integrated Living Arrangements (CILAs), which are funded by IDHS. We are grateful to our CILA providers and to everyone who is fighting the pandemic - and we hope this information will be useful to the public. We welcome your input and feedback on the information presented below.
Sincerely,
Grace Hou, Secretary, IDHS
Allison Stark, Director, IDHS Division of Developmental Disabilities
NOTE: DATA CURRENT AS OF 05/05/22.
The information presented here will be updated periodically during the COVID-19 public health emergency. It is provisional, has not been verified by the Illinois Department of Public Health, and may unintentionally contain errors or omissions. The Division of Developmental Disabilities receives this information from the Independent Service Coordination (ISC) agencies based on information they receive from Illinois' 228 Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA) Providers. Approximately 11,500 people reside in 24-hour CILA settings, across more than 2,100 locations.
The information presented here contains self-reported positive cases from CILAs, by Provider, throughout the state. All numbers are cumulative.
CILAs have up to eight residents in each CILA, and each Provider manages one or more CILAs. As the numbers are cumulative, for many of the self-reported positives, over time, many of those residents are now fully recovered.
Questions about the data presented here may be emailed to DHS.COVID19@Illinois.gov.
