Summary:
- A $500.00 stipend will be issued for all active TANF child-only, adult and child and adult-only cases in June 2020.
- The $500.00 stipend is considered a lump sum (non-recurring, one-time only) payment and is exempt income for SNAP.
- Client Notice CN 20.14/CN 20.14S (pdf) will be mailed to active TANF customers to notify them of the stipend.
Due to the COVID-19 health care emergency, the Governor's Office has approved a one-time only $500.00 stipend payment for all active TANF cases for the month of June 2020.
TANF
A $500.00 stipend payment will be issued for all active TANF cases, regardless of any income being budgeted, that are child-only, adult and child, and adult-only cases for June 2020. The stipend will be issued by 06/30/2020 for all active TANF EDGs (TANF zero grant included) with a certification end date greater than 05/31/2020.
SNAP
The $500.00 TANF stipend is a lump sum (non-recurring, one-time only) payment and is considered as exempt income for SNAP PM 08-04-04-q.

Client Notice
Client Notice CN 20.14/CN 20.14S will be mailed by 06/30/2020 to active TANF customers to notify them of the stipend.
