4/10/20 - Message to Providers from Secretary Hou: Provider Guidance - Small Business Relief Options

Friday, April 10, 2020

Dear Partners,

Thank you for your continued commitment to the service and support of Illinois' residents during these unprecedented times. We recognize and appreciate the work you are doing every day under challenging conditions. We want to make sure you have the most up-to-date information regarding all resources available to you as an IDHS provider organization.

As you are very likely aware, the United States Congress passed and the President signed, H.R. 748. This legislation, known as the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, created several programs to provide relief to small businesses. Additionally, the State of Illinois and the City of Chicago have their own aid programs for businesses.

For even more information, please consider viewing the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) and Illinois Chamber of Commerce webinar. The DCEO COVID-19 Resources website also provides resources on the options available to Illinois' businesses including an Emergency Resources for Business Guide.

Thank you again for your dedication during this period of uncertainty.

Sincerely,

Grace B. Hou
Secretary, IDHS
