Good afternoon, IDHS team:
As we all continue to adjust to our new working conditions and way of living, it can be difficult managing emotions and obligations for work and home.
During these times, it is important to remember to take care of yourself, your family, and your colleagues. As you may be aware, the Illinois Department of Human Services offers an array of resources to support the health and wellbeing of its employees.
In addition to using MyBenefits.illinois.gov, you can take advantage of the Employee Assistance Program and Personal Support Program. Both are designed to provide confidential help to meet life's challenges and remain healthy and engaged.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Counseling services are available to help with a range of concerns. Services are free, voluntary, and confidential. EAP is available to full and part time (50% or greater) employees, regardless of chosen health plan, and for those who have opted not to participate in a health plan. Contact a Referral Coordinator at 217-524-2032.
Personal Support Program (PSP)
Offered exclusively for AFSCME employees and dependents, PSP also provides limitless resources to assist with a variety of concerns and problems. PSP staff are available at 1-800-647-8776 to discuss your free and confidential options.
Please be sure to take care of your loved ones, engage in social distancing, and practice self-care.
Thank you,
Grace
