3/30/2020 - DDD COVID-19 Communication

 March 30, 2020

Good Afternoon,

I am hoping everyone is well. I continue to be amazed at our community's resilience, teamwork and above all, concern for the people we support. You all amaze me. Thank you for everything you are doing.

DDD COVID-19 WEBPAGE

There will be communications, documents, information bulletins, tools and other guidance that will be disseminated as we navigate the COVID-19 crisis. DDD has created a specific webpage to consolidate these resources for our community. We're hoping to populate it with more information as we go along. It can be found here: https://www.dhs.state.il.us/page.aspx?item=123451

SHARING STORIES OF GOOD

In these difficult times we all need to hear positive stories that show our resilience and potential for good. Please send us these stories. I hope to share with our community in my communications and share with the larger IDHS community. Please send to Emily Hughes, BQM: emily.hughes@illinois.gov

ICF/DD RATES GUIDANCE

HFS published ICF/DD rates guidance. You can find it here: https://www.illinois.gov/hfs/MedicalProviders/notices/Pages/default.aspx

BALC SITE CONSOLIDATION FORM

The Bureau of Accreditation, Licensure & Certification (BALC) has issued instructions to providers regarding possible reconfiguration of licensed sites. The Division of Developmental Disabilities wants to ensure subscribers to DDD Comments are aware of BALC's plans. If you have not received them, you can access them on the DDD COVID-19 webpage referenced above. For questions: DHS.BALC@Illinois.Gov

RESOURCES

Finally, Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities has a phenomenal list of resources for individuals, families, DSPs and providers. Please take a look:

Be well. We know you're doing your best. Hang in there. We're in this together.

Warmly,

Allison
