The Rend Lake College Community & Corporate Education Department, along with Withers Broadcasting and WSIL TV3, will host the annual Job Search Party at the DoubleTree by Hilton Mt. Vernon on Thursday, April 25, 2019, from 3:00-6:00 p.m.
This event is open to businesses actively seeking employees. It is designed to provide employers with the opportunity to discuss job and/or career opportunities with RLC students and graduates, as well as the general public. Participants will be encouraged to bring resumes.
The focus of last year's Job Search Party was to increase attendance of community job seekers. Several RLC employees assisted in hanging event flyers across the RLC district. That effort, along with the continual promotion from our sponsors, Withers Broadcasting and WSIL TV3, did increase job seeker attendance from 2017. We want to do more. Employers that attended the 2018 event indicated on the evaluation sheets that they would like to see more RLC students in attendance. The 2019 objective is to encourage RLC students to participate in the Job Search Party. We will work closely with division deans and instructors to ensure that all RLC students are aware of this opportunity.
Mt. Vernon DRS staff will attend.
