Item 85 is used to report dates in the following situations. For IPACS entry (Form 552), the Item 85 date is written in REMARKS.
Date of FS Application Interview
When you approve or deny a pending SNAP application, enter the 6-digit date of the application interview in REMARKS. If an application is denied due to failure to appear for an interview, enter the 6-digit date of the application. To report the date, enter in REMARKS:
Box 85 = MM/DD/YY
Date of Client's Failure to Cooperate
When benefits (Cash, Medical, or SNAP) are stopped due to a client's failure to cooperate, enter the 6-digit date the client failed to cooperate. To report the date, enter in REMARKS:
Box 85 = MM/DD/YY
This date is entered in the message on the client notice. A central notice is not sent on SWAPs. Send a manual notice for all SWAP actions.
NOTE: TA 22, Cancel, or TA 31, Change, are used to stop benefits depending on the case situation.
