Item 63, Status of Parent, is used to identify the status of the parents of a child receiving AABD or TANF. For SNAP Only, and RRA cases always enter 2 dashes in Item 63. Also enter 2 dashes for any adults on Form 552 who are not homebound. For component SNAP members, enter 2 dashes or use the codes listed below.
This item shows the current status of the parents of children in a TANF Cash or All Kids Assist/Moms and Babies case, or AABD Cash or MANG case. This item is also used to identify a homebound adult in a case with children.
Enter a status code for each parent of every child in the case. Two columns are provided, one for the mother and one for the father.
For each child, enter one of the following status codes for any parent not living with the child.
Parent Does Not Live With the Unit

 Parents were in a Civil Union at the time of the child's birth, and both partners are named as parents on the child's birth certificate. This applies equally to same sex and opposite sex partners in a Civil Union.

NOTE: Codes 19, 20, 21, 22, 24, 30, and 31 automatically generate a referral to the Division of Child Support Enforcement (DCSE). A referral is not generated when a component SNAP unit member is coded 19, 20, 21, 22, or 24.
