When a women whose medical coverage closed due to noncooperation with Child Support Enforcement (CSE) reports being pregnant, provide medical as follows:
(FCRC): Enter the Expected Date of Delivery (EDD) in the Pregnancy Due Date field on the Pregnancy Details page.
Note: Do not remove/delete the EDD from IES. See IES Wizard: End a Pregnancy Record.
(DCSE) Sends a Change In Case/Noncustodial Parent Status (Form 493) to the FCRC when the customer states she's pregnant. This form is sent whether or not the customer cooperates.
NOTE: Use Form 493 in addition to Form HFS 1611 for a pregnant woman who does not cooperate. Form 1611 provides a 2 digit code and the reason the customer did not have to comply (also known as Good Cause). Do not deny or cancel medical benefits for a pregnant woman who fails to cooperate, if otherwise eligible.
