WAG 20-22-02-d.

For a person who lives outside of Cook County, the Bureau of Comprehensive Health Services handles prior approval for:

• plane, intercity bus, or train; and
• nonemergency transportation to care in another state.

NOTE: This does not apply to border regions where clients commonly go to the other state for care.
