WAG 20-08-14-d
Effective 07/01/12, payments for bed reserve during hospitalization or home visit are discontinued for all residents of nursing facilities (ICFs and SNFs), Institutes of Mental Disease (IMDs) and residents of ICFs/DD who are 21 years of age or older. Bed reserve payments continue for residents of ICFs/DD who are under age 21 and for residents of SLFs. Despite discontinuation of payment, facilities are required to report bed reserve days to the HFS Bureau of Long Term Care.
Payment for bed reserve may be made, for up to 30 days per fiscal year (July - June), while an SLF resident is hospitalized or on a home visit. SLFs report bed reserve days to the HFS Bureau of Long Term Care.
