A SNAP unit in Mid-Point Reporting status must:
- report when their gross monthly income exceeds the Gross Monthly Income Standard for the unit size: and
- Note: The change must be reported by the 10th day of the calendar month after the calendar month that income exceeded the Gross Income limit.
- For example, gross income exceeded the limit for 08/16 the unit must report the change by 09/10/16.
- complete the SNAP and TANF Mid-Point Report (Form 2890) when it is received. Must answer all questions and report any changes in circumstances related to the questions asked on the form (PM 19-07-07; and
report when they receive a substantial lottery or gambling winning as a cash prize of $3,750 or more won in a single game:
- at REDE;
- Mid-Point Report; and
- by the 10th calendar day of the month after the month that the income or winnings are received during the certification period. A Mid-Point-Reporting household cannot wait until the Mid-Point Report or REDE to report the receipt of substantial lottery or gambling winnings. See PM 07-04-21.
When the unit reports a required change, review the effect of the change on the unit's eligibility and benefit amount. For income related changes, consider the date the first payment is received (as a result of the change) as the date the client learned about the change.
If the income belongs to a new member, the unit must report if the income of all those who are in the unit exceeds the Gross Income limit for the unit size that the unit was originally notified. When the number in the SNAP unit changes, the Redetermination Fact Sheet is centrally sent telling the unit its new Gross Income Standard for reporting changes of income for SNAP.

Note: If a reported change makes a case exempt from Mid-Point Reporting, remove the case from Mid-Point Reporting status at the next REDE.
