The due date of the REDE is governed by the SNAP approval period. A REDE form is generated by IES when a redetermination of benefits is due, A face-to- face REDE is required for SNAP and TANF households every 12- months. This notice is centrally generated by IES and mailed 60 days prior to the certification end date. For example, if the last day of the certification period is 11/30/16, the form is mailed 10/01/16. The customer is sent notification that their benefits are expiring and that they need to come into the office for an interview.

SNAP Redetermination Application (Form 1893) is centrally generated when a redetermination of benefits is due. This notice is mailed 45 days prior to the certification end date. The customer is sent notification that their benefits are expiring and that they need to come into the office for an interview.

An interim Mid-Point Report form is sent to a Mid-Point Reporting household in the 5th month of their 12-month approval period. The customer must return the Mid-Point Report form by the 5th day in month 6 of their approval period. See PM 19-02-06 for the Mid-Point Reporting Process.
