(System) If a cash case is not eligible for medical backdating when approving the application through AIS, enters the first day of the month of application on the proper AIS screen.
NOTE: Worker must enter the first day of a later month, if medical eligibility does not exist until a later month.
(FCRC) If a cash case is not eligible for medical backdating when approving the application through IPACS, enter in Item 77 of Form 552:
- the first day of the month of application; or
- the first day of a later month, if medical eligibility does not exist until a later month.
Check to see that the notice of decision sent to the client:
- identifies every person(s) ineligible for medical backdate; and
- shows which month(s) they are ineligible for backdating; and
- gives the reason for their ineligibility.
For each backdate month that medical eligibility does not exist, enter on the correct AIS screen the denial TAR by person. This information appears on Form 360C, if the notice is not suppressed.
